Tai Chi Qigong is an Ancient Chinese healing health art that incorporates gentle movement with posture, breath, relaxation & visualisation with the aim to achieve free flow of energy throughout the body. Tai Chi is known as ‘the ultimate supreme’ & Qigong as ‘energy work’. Tai Chi Qigong may be beneficial for improving posture, breathing, balance, loosening & lengthening muscles, tendons & joints. Relieving mental & physical tension in the body & mind. With regular practice, Tai Chi Qigong can have a profound effect on one’s health. Lifting your spirit, helping you connect to yourself & your surroundings. Helping you gain better balance in your everyday life.
I am mainly leading sessions in Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi set 1 also known as medical Qigong. 18 gentle easy to follow & learn moves that are designed to move Qi around the whole body, leaving you energetically balanced. This set has been modified for therapeutic benefit making it accessible, suitable for all ages & fitness levels. It is a joy to practice, also known as a moving meditation.
Alongside my Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi sessions, I will often include elements of other Qigong sets:
• The 8 Pieces of Brocade, known as the Ba Duan Jin. A more physically demanding set that was created around 1140 AD during the Song Dynasty, by the army general Marshal Yue Fei. The movements were designed to keep the soldiers well & in good shape for harsh, long battles.
• Six Steps Qigong, a set to gently detox the body, used in times of heightened emotional or physical stress.
I also often incorporate some self-care Reflexology techniques into my sessions which compliment Tai Chi Qigong very well.
I trained at the Holistic Tai Chi Qigong Training Academy UK: http://www.hqtauk.com . A centre of excellence for instructors of Tai Chi Qigong. I am trained & fully insured to deliver sessions safely to people of all ages & abilities. I also offer one to one for people with more complex health needs & rehabilitation.
My mission is to get as many people as possible to experience the wonderful mental & physical benefits of Tai Chi Qigong. Come along & see what it has to offer. Joyful, meditative, gentle yet powerful movement. It’s very hard not to enjoy Tai Chi Qigong.
